Handcrafted of damascus steel and featuring a deer antler handle, which creates a crescent like shape to the boline.
Unlike an athame, a boline is a functional working tool. It is used for cutting, harvesting and preparing herbs for ritual. It can also be used for cutting cords, ribbons, string, carving symbols into candles or any other task that requires a sharp blade during your ceremony. Traditionally the boline has a white handle and is sometimes referred to as the “white-handled knife” which is in contrast to an athame which traditionally had a black handle.
Deer antlers as associated with the sun and the elements of fire and earth.
Because deer shed and regrow their antlers, the antler has long been tied to the annual death and resurrection of the sun. Deer antlers represent wisdom, nobility and protection. In Wicca, the antler is represented by the male deity, Cernunnos, “the Horned One.”
*Blade measures approximately 8.5 inches by 3.25 inches and does not include a sheath
**Does not include dried lavender, black tourmaline or wooden tray in pictures
